Monitors

All monitors listed here can display at least full HD (i.e. 1920x1080) and can be mounted with VESA standard mounts.  We only recommend anti-glare (or matte) displays.  All have multiple inputs and speakers unless noted.

We do not generally recommend displays costing more than $400.  No display here exceeds that amount and the average price is $256, the median price (for the Asus 24-inch, an excellent all-around performer) is only $220.

Ultra-High Resolution — 2560x1440 (WQHD)

Full HD — 1920x1080

• LG 27-Inch, IPS, LED-Lit Monitor
  (frameless, super elegant and very lightweight)  (connectors: HDMI, VGA, 3.5mm audio out, split from HDMI — but no internal speakers)
• Acer 27-Inch Widescreen Monitor
  (connectors: DVI-D, VGA; no HDMI, no speakers)
